1. How long does a massage session take?
A single session may take anywhere from 30-120 minutes. It comes down to the client’s preference. Longer sessions allow for better relaxation.
2. What I’m I expected to do during a massage therapy session?
The client is only required to lay back and relax during the session. They may communicate their preferences so as to receive customized serviced. Whether or not they chose to have a quiet session or a talkative one is entirely up to them and the therapist respects and adjusts to each client.
3. Do I need to be fully undressed for the massage?
A client should undress to the level they feel comfortable. Different preferences are respected. The massage therapist will also give the client their privacy when undressing and only enters the room once the client is set on the massage table and is comfortably draped.
4. Will the Massage Hurt?
The massage therapist may adjust the amount of pressure they apply according to your preference. Some clients suffer from conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome, work or sports related injuries. In such cases, the therapist works to gently release tension without hurting the client. On the other hand, other clients may prefer more pressure due to the nature of their lifestyles. Such clients have tense muscles and knots and needs slightly more pressure to relieve their tightness. It is all curated to match the client’s needs.
5. Are massages ever contraindicated?
It is important to check in with a licensed Doctor if you suffer from any of (but not limited to) the following conditions before getting a massage. Vascular blood clots, cancer, skin conditions that are infectious, kidney or liver disease, hypertension etc. This is to ensure your utmost safety and health.
6. How do I ensure my safety when receiving a massage?
Many massage parlors have policies that ensure client safety such as proper record keeping, good quality furniture and proper sanitization practices. It is important to only visit reputable massage parlors and spas. During outcall services, it is prudent to let someone close to you such as a family or friend be close by or simply letting them know that a massage session is happening in your home or hotel room. Only get outcall services from reputable and licensed service providers.
7. Why can’t I relax during my session?
A massage is a bodily experience that is designed to lift you from everyday worry into a state of complete relaxation. In order to enhance this experience, you may do the following. Be aware of your breath. This helps a client stop overthinking and they are able to let go of their anxieties and just be in the moment. Keep time-being punctual and even a little early for your session allows you to have a moment of relaxation before the massage begins. Flustered clients find it harder to relax. Remember to communicate your expectations and fears with your therapist. Adequate feedback allows the massage therapist meet your needs.
8. Are erotic massages legal?
Some countries and states have laws against erotic massages. It is always wise to check your state laws before procuring these services.
